HP Pay For Print – functional overview

Program sepcifics

From the functional point of view, there are mainly four stakeholders involved. Your organization, HP, the HP Pay For Print authorized partner, and the HP-appointed Pay For Print service provider.

Your HP Pay For Print authorized partner is responsible for the initial contractual agreement, the technical setup, and contract fulfillment and execution. An HP-appointed service provider collects printing data, generates detailed printing usage statistics and facilitates monthly reports and invoices. HP guarantees a high-level service and organizes the disposal of empty cartridges through the HP Planet Partner program.

HP Pay For Print – contract, billing and pricing

The contract period for HP Pay For Print is 12 month with the option to extension. During this service period you can decide whether you want to be invoiced on a per usage (actual cartridge usage in %) or per shipment (number of cartridges shipped) model.

HP Pay For Print authorized partners are generally entitled to grant price protection on the HP original print supplies during the contract period. This means price increases of Original HP print supplies have no effect on the HP Pay For Print contract pricing conditions, while price decreases are passed on to you in full.

HP Pay For Print – reporting

Your organization obtains maximum benefits from the HP Pay For Print program when they make use of the reporting feature. Your authorized staff will receive a unique customer ID number and password that allows access to the web-based HP Pay For Print portal for the retrieval of reports, order history and other information.

If required, your HP authorized partner supports you in interpreting the generated data and explaining how the information can help in terms of fleet optimization.

HP Pay For Print – service and support

A help desk is available during regular business hours to troubleshoot problems. Failures are addressed with a response time of eight business hours.
