How is HP Pay For Print different from other print service solutions? |
| HP’s program is based on a model, where customers are charged on actual supplies consumption rather than a fixed cost per page. |
What are the benefits over a regular transactional buy? |
| With HP Pay For Print, there is no need to monitor, reorder and stock supplies and renegotiate or shop for best prices. This increases overall organizational cost savings and efficiency. Moreover, clarity about the printer utilization and printer fleet performance can be obtained. Therefore, visibility to make adjustments as needed to better utilize the printer fleet is provided. |
How do I know what the cost savings will be? |
| Please contact your HP Pay For Print authorized partner for a consultation. |
Are there minimum requirements? |
What if the price for printing supplies goes down during the service period? |
| Then the savings will be passed on to you in full. |
What if we change printer equipment during the service period? |
| This will not affect the contract as long as you continue to meet the minimum requirements. |
What are the benefits of understanding my printer supplies consumption patterns? |
| You will be able to compare cost-effectiveness between different printers and update your equipment as needed, compare printer supplies usage between different departments for ease in cross-charging, and better budget for printing costs. |
Is there a start-up or implementation fee? |
| No, there is no supplemental charge for participation in the HP Pay For Print program and no fee for setup and implementation. |
How does HP Pay For Print know when it’s time to reorder? |
| The network of HP printers is connected to a local server that automatically tracks print activity. When a printer runs low on ink or toner, the monitoring software automatically places an order with the HP Pay For Print authorized partner. |
How does the reporting work? |
Customers obtain maximum benefits from the HP Pay For Print program when they make use of the reporting feature. HP Pay For Print authorized partners can help customers interpret the data generated and explain how the information can help in terms of fleet optimization. The following reports are available:
- Reporting: Devices in contract
- Reporting: Fill-level of every cartridge per device
- Reporting: Costs per page based on standard page coverage
- Reporting: Actual cost per page based on actual page coverage in %
- Reporting: Contract volume with timing
