The Rossignol Demo Tour kicks off this Saturday in Austria, with HP as European Partner and great activities lined up for you, as they tour round nine countries, taking part in 136 events and spending 270 days on the snow itself – that’s nearly three quarters of the year!Not only can you try out new Rossignol skis and boards on the slopes, but you’ll be able to experience the latest HP technology AND win HP PCs. You can take part in the “RU the next director” video competition and film cool skiing, hot boarding, freestyling or boarders on the half-pipe to win screaming Rossignol skis and the latest hip HP PCs that allow you to discover the world of touch technology with HP PCs.

HP – Powering the Plastiki
Saturday sees the start of HP’s Plastiki Mission Control at the National Geographic Store in London, an exhibition bringing to life the voyage of the Plastiki, Adventure Ecology’s 60-foot catamaran made almost entirely from 12,500 reclaimed plastic bottles, across the Pacific Ocean on a mission to beat waste; showcasing it as a valuable resource.The exhibition is an exciting and interactive event showing the groundbreaking thinking, technologies and sustainable design solutions that are transforming 12,500 plastic bottles into a seaworthy vessel. You can explore a scale replica of the ship’s cabin and use interactive HP TouchSmart PC stations to learn about the effects of waste on the planet.
Plastiki Mission Control in partnership with HP opens on Saturday, 14 November, and runs until Sunday, 6 December, at the National Geographic Store, 83-97 Regent Street, London, and there is also a programme of talks and workshops on-site. 30 October

St Andrews
Come and enjoy live, free entertainment at St Andrews University Student Union with the popular comedy troupe, The Mighty Boosh.
