Marty joined Valero in 1997 and has served in various executive capacities within the Valero legal department since 1999. He currently oversees the general litigation matters of Valero. Named after the Alamo, Valero is the largest petroleum refiner in North America, with a geographically diverse refining network and nearly 6,000 retail and wholesale stores. In addition to a managing a wide ranging portfolio of matters, Marty has taken a leadership role in the design and operation of Valero’s electronic discovery processes. Prior to joining Valero, he practiced litigation in Houston with the law firm of Bracewell & Patterson (now Giuliani). He is a 1992 graduate of Baylor School of Law and a 1989 graduate of Baylor University.
