When I took the picture I came inside to do it up. I took this picture because to show you our environment. It isn’t that clean because bad boys hang around and spray paint on the walls. I wish they would stop.

Shadow and Light I took this picture because eggs symbolise fertility and spring. I also like the way the light plays on the eggs, dividing each one symmetrically in half. Like each person there is a dark and a light side, practical and creative, yin and yang.

Walking along the bay with my family, we were all amazed by the beautiful sunset. I couldn’t force my dad to get the camera out quick enough. I didn’t get the picture with a ball of sun but I was very happy the way the picture came out.

3rd Name: David Owens Group: Post Primary, 12-16 School: St Joseph’s College, Nun’s Island, Galway Category: Identity Play I think this photo asks; why, when we hit adolescence, does jumping around on rocks become unacceptable behaviour? 1st Name: Fouz Elneihum Group: Post Primary, 17-19 School: Loreto Secondary School, Balbriggan, Dublin Category: Discovery Tangy Even the smallest discoveries are to be cherished. The Physalis fruit hides behind it's delicate leaves yet it's colour calls whoever sees it to take a second look and perhaps a taste. It's how we feed our own curiousity for whatever new things we find throughout our lives.
