The competition is only open to residents of the Rep. of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Entries / descriptions / details will be accepted in either Irish or English.
Entries at primary school level will be judged in the following categories:
7-10 years old,
11-13 years old
Entries at post-primary school level will be judged in the following categories
12-16 years old
17-19 years old
Age for entrants will be determined by the applicant's age on 1st September 2007.
Entries will be judged on the basis of composition, technique, content, originality and effectiveness in conveying the theme(s).
Entries which are manipulated i.e. graphic designed and falls within the accepted concept of the theme, will be considered for entry.
If sending by post, please ensure to sign in block letters your name, school, teacher and Principal on the back of each photo submitted. Each entry must be accompanied by a written piece of no more than fifty words, explaining the concept or image within the photo(s).
Entries must be received by 5pm on November 30th 2007.
Short-listed entrants may be asked to provide proof of age, and to confirm the authenticity of their entry.
Entries received which contain images and subjects of a defamatory, derogatory or aspects which may be considered offensive will be disqualified from the Competition.
All entries received will fall under the protection of the Data Protection Act 1998/2003 (Republic of Ireland) & Data Protection Act 1998 (UK & N. Irel).
Judges decision will be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
Entries become the property of HP upon receipt. No entries can be returned. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
HP reserves the right to use the entries and the winners’ details and photograph in the promotion and publicity campaign for the competition. All entries and entrants’ details will be securely stored.
Group members and immediate family members of Real Event Solutions, the IPG Group of Hewlett-Packard Ireland (Sales & Services Division) are not eligible to enter the competition.
All entries are accepted as original works. Real Event Solutions, Hewlett-Packard are not responsible or liable for any breach of copyright.
HP reserves the right to alter or substitute the advertised prizes with prizes of equal value. No cash alternative is offered under any circumstances.
Prize winners may be requested to participate in publicity.
A contract of agreement is formed, when the entrant has submitted his/her entry to the above competition and as such all entrants agree to be bound by the rules of the competition as stated above. Failure to do so / or breach of said contract /rules, following submission will render the contract and the submission null and void. |
