Visa information

You will be responsible for your own passport and visa for entry into Frankfurt (if applicable).

Visa invitations will only be issued for those people attending the event and for the time of the conference and may not be extended. We request a minimum of 3 weeks notification if visa invitations are needed in order to provide appropriate materials in advance of the conference. Please note that it is your responsibility to check with your local embassy for the amount of time they require to process such visa applications.

If you are a citizen of the EU or travelling from one of the following countries you must present a valid passport or in some cases a valid identity card, which will allow you to remain in the Federal Republic of Germany for a maximum period of 90 days:

Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Estonia, Guatemala, Hong Kong (for Holders of SAR passports), Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Macau (SAR), Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Korea, Switzerland, Uruguay, United States of America, Vatican City and Venezuela.

Provided that they do not intend to enter into employment, citizens of Honduras, Monaco, San Marino may obtain any residence permit required after entry.

A passport with validity exceeding at least 3 months from the date of intended departure from Germany is required for the entry by all.

Citizens of all other countries must obtain a visa in order to enter and stay in Germany legally.

As the preceding list is liable to change at short notice, visitors are advised to check transit regulations with the relevant Embassy or Consulate before travelling.
