Wolfgang Wittmer started his career as an electronic engineer for mobile Telecommunication Equipment in Vienna, Austria. From 1976-1979 he was with the UNITED NATIONS’ International Atomic Energy Agency responsible for various international Research and Development programs in Nuclear Low Level Counting and Nuclear Safeguards.
In 1979 Wolfgang started in the IT Industry as Sales Trainee in the Digital Equipment Corporation in Vienna. After various Account and regional Management positions in Austria, he was appointed Operations Manager at Digital Germany in 1990 and Service Sales Manager Germany in 1993.
Since 1994 Wolfgang has held various senior Management positions for Central East Europe, Middle East and Africa in Digital Equipment, Compaq Computer and Hewlett Packard - among them Director Customer Service and System Integration, Director Enterprise Products, Director Segment Sales and VP Enterprise Server and Storage Sales for EMEA.
Since 2007 Wolfgang has carried the role of Vice President Enterprise Server and Storage EMEA.
Wolfgang holds a degree in Electronics and High Frequency engineering from the TGM in Vienna and has completed various postgraduate studies at IMD in Switzerland. |
