Managing Director HP EMEA and Senior Vice President Technology Solutions Group EMEA
Francesco Serafini was appointed the senior vice president and managing director for HP Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and the Technology Solutions Group EMEA in 2005. He chairs the regional leadership team responsible for the company strategy in EMEA, developing partnerships and key stakeholder relations for HP. As part of his role, he also leads the enterprise storage and systems, software and services businesses, including sales and marketing to enterprise and public sector customers.
Serafini has more than 20 years experience in the IT services marketplace. Most recently he acted as senior vice president of the Technology Solutions Group, EMEA, prior to this current role he was senior vice president of HP Services. In this last position he focused on developing the business as a leader in the provision of enterprise IT services, products and software in EMEA, leading a workforce of 24,000 IT professionals. Serafini also spearheaded HP’s acquisitions of Synstar and ThyssenKrupp’s services division, Triaton, as well as a number of major services agreements including Ericsson, BT, Bank of Ireland and Nokia. He has been a significant force in establishing HP’s position as a tier one services company and the number one IT company in EMEA.
Previously, Serafini held the position of vice president of HP Worldwide Outsourcing following a two year tenure as general manager of the same business for EMEA.
From 1991 to 1995, Serafini served as the director of Services and Support for the newly formed Customer Business Unit for HP Italy.
Serafini joined HP in 1981 and held several management positions in software and support and professional services before becoming country manager for HP Italy in 1991. Serafini holds an engineering degree in electronics from Politecnico of Turin. |
